A while back we were considering purchasing a manufacturing plant in Indonesia for our sarongs. Obviously because of the ease of access to raw materials and the expertise in dyeing processes and more - Indonesia, Bali in particular, seemed to be the right spot. While we were on track to buy one, we ran into someone who wanted a partnership. Now we have created a win win situation for a local and ourselves. Not only do they have the expertise and experience for what we need, they have the passion we share for sarongs! It looks like this is going to be an excellent partnership.

We’ve been thinking about going to Hawaii in September (2008) because it’s been a few years since we have gone and this has become quite a ritual for us annually. Not really sure if we were going to make a trip to Indonesia as well to see some of our manufactures of sarongs. It would be a pretty nice lay-over in Hawaii I would imagine if we took a week to start then a week in indo and a week in Hawaii again on the way home… but 3 weeks just seems like a lot of vacation time… you know?
I am sure well update this when we look into it more.
